Shahin Alavi was born in 1961. He started playing guitar at the age of 17. His Flamenco guitar teacher was Shahrokh Partovi and the Classic one was Bagher Moazen. Till now Alavi has held some formal and informal concerts that the last one was at the Harekat Hall in this year.
Shahin Alavi is a brilliant Guitar master who has played an important role at introducing Flamenco Guitar to Iranian musical society. He has devoted himself to the music and has spent majority of his time for teaching and so introducing  brilliant student to the music world of Iran. as well as, he has some experiences of teaching at the non governmental music classes of farhangsara, radio and television.
Besides, He has Started playing Oud from 4 years ago and played it as perfect as Guitar.
